Christiane Floyd has been a guest professor at BIG several times. She is also an Honorary Professor of TU Wien Informatics and University of Paderborn.

She has been an international renowned researcher for Software Engineering and participatory design.

In 2020, Christiane Floyd received the Klaus-Tschira-Medal for her pioneering work in computer science.
